Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry professional to join our team at a very unique, boutique hotel. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facility, ensuring that all areas are well-kept and presentable. The ideal candidate will have experience in housekeeping management within the hotel or hospitality industry, with a strong focus on cleanliness and customer satisfaction. However, reliability, flexibility, and trustworthiness outweigh even experience, as we are more than happy to train a hard worker.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
- Manage laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels.
- Conduct floor care duties such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing custodial tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Assist in training new staff members on housekeeping protocols and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hotel or hospitality industry is preferred, but not necessary, as we will train according to our unique needs.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
