POSITION: Facility Maintenance Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Director of Facility Maintenance
FT/PT HOURS: PT 6:00AM – 12:00PM M-F
About The Role:
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor at City Fresh Foods is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of the company’s facilities, commercial kitchen equipment, and food production systems. This role requires hands-on technical expertise to ensure that all kitchen, warehouse, refrigeration, and production equipment operates efficiently and meets food safety, health, and regulatory standards. This is a part-time AM position.
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support daily operations to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment for kitchen, warehouse, and transportation teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance for commercial kitchen and food production equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment such as ovens, steam kettles, mixers, conveyors, refrigeration units, dish machines, and packaging equipment.
- Maintain facility systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration.
- Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with kitchen, warehouse, and operations teams to minimize disruption to meal production and distribution.
- Schedule and manage outside contractors and equipment service providers when needed.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and equipment documentation.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential maintenance or safety issues.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety regulations, and company safety policies.
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment or facility upgrades.
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues affecting production or deliveries.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies.
- Support operational readiness for daily food production and school meal distribution.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong hands-on mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience maintaining commercial kitchen and food production equipment.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment quickly to minimize operational downtime.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and food safety regulations.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance tasks in a fast-paced food production environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills when working with kitchen, warehouse, and operations teams.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training, trade certification, or vocational education in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in commercial kitchens, food production facilities, or food distribution environments.
- Supervisory experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed.
- Ability to work in kitchen, warehouse, refrigeration, and mechanical areas.
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
