We’re looking for a Front Desk Agent with 1-2 years of experience to join our team here at the City Express by Marriott!
Front Desk Agent responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests and taking reservations. The Front Desk Agent also handles phone calls and works with our Housekeeping and Engineering staff. Ultimately, you will provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly. Front Desk Agent work is to welcome and provide service to our guests. acts as the main point of contact for our guests, welcoming them warmly upon arrival and departure, and handling all transactions relating to check-in, check-out, cashiering and reservations.
Your other shifts will also consist of assisting the PM shift with their duties, and doing valet parking for our hotel. You must have a valid driver's license and be confident in driving guest vehicles to designated parking spots efficiently.
The work schedule for this position is on evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. While experience is a plus, the most important criteria is a spirit of hospitality and desire to do the little things that make a big difference. It’s all about creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities
- Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations
- Respond to guest complaints, requests and emergencies
- Process invoices, post checks to vendors and distribute employee checks
- Reconcile accounts
- Balance the cash drawer and log receipts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Help prepare for forecasts and audits
- Assist PM Shift with check-ins and shift duties
- Provide valet parking for guests during high occupancy nights
Skills
- Proven experience as a Front Desk Agent during mornings/evenings, or similar experience within the hospitality industry
- Experience with accounting and facilities management software
- Excellent math skills
- An eye for detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- The ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possibly availability to work overnight if needed
