Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations by regularly cleaning work areas, sinks, and dish racks.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, organizing supplies, and handling basic food prep under supervision.
- Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health and safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes responsibly to keep the kitchen environment tidy.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential!
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and food safety standards.
- Experience with bussing tables or supporting food preparation is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items when necessary.
