Job Summary

City Brewery in La Crosse, WI has an immediate opening for a Utilities Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment related to the operation of the Engine Room and Refrigeration Systems.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility of the plant refrigeration system.
• Maintain and troubleshoot evaporators, heat exchangers & liquid ammonia transfer pumps, purging system, pump-out system, circulation pumps, makeup equipment, valves & condensers.
• Maintenance and repair of compressed air systems.
• Monitoring of glycol system.
• Water treatment including but not limited to: chemical testing, RO system operations and de-aeration system operation and maintenance.
• Boiler system maintenance, including pump/motor replacement & alignment.
• Required involvement in Emergency Response Team.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• HVAC or equivalent degree from a technical school or college or 3 years equivalent experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems and components or boiler operation.
• Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
• Must possess excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, operate scissor lifts & forklifts.
• Must be able to push, pull, drag and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Able to complete confined space training.
• Successfully pass respirator fit testing.
