Job Summary
This position is responsible for planning preventive electrical maintenance, repair work, and project work to support a 24/7 high-speed manufacturing facility. This position directs and supervises industrial electricians.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, assign and supervise work of industrial electricians
- Review work planning and weekly scheduling with affected departments.
- Approve emergency work and reschedule planned work.
- Obtain pricing, place orders and prepare usage estimates for needed supplies, parts, tools and materials.
- Arrange for work support, materials and parts to minimize interruptions in operations and ensure work is done in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and maintain PM schedule for equipment and facilities to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Maintain records of scheduled and unscheduled work for development of work order system.
- Review data to make recommendations for improvement and provide solutions to electrical maintenance related issues.
- Create and implement SOP’s for areas of responsibility.
- Provide for training and continuing education opportunities for direct reports.
- Maintain a working knowledge of plant operations to assist other departments with area expertise as needed.
- Assist in planning large projects and installations.
- Strict adherence to all Company policies and State and Federal Guidelines.
- Stay current with, and ensure adherence to, relevant OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to troubleshoot and address short and long term maintenance.
- Available to support 24/7 operation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical diploma/ journey worker status preferred. Will consider relevant work experience, certifications, etc…
- 3-5 years’ manufacturing experience, food and beverage production preferred.
- Prior leadership or supervisory responsibility. Union environment preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley CLX.
- Knowledge of electrical code.
- Medium voltage experience preferred.
