About the Role:
The Host & Front of House Supervisor plays a pivotal role in creating an exceptional first impression for guests by managing the front of house operations with professionalism and efficiency. This position is responsible for overseeing the host desk, ensuring smooth guest flow, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with The Wine Bistro's standards. As a Host you will coordinate seating arrangements, manage reservations, and handle guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance overall customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves supervising front of house staff to uphold service excellence and operational consistency when the GM is not in the restaurant. Ultimately, the Host & Front of House Supervisor ensures that every guest experience is positive, seamless, and memorable, contributing directly to the venue's reputation and success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with reservation and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the Front of House team to ensure efficient and courteous guest service at all times.
- Manage guest seating and reservations to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times.
