At City Brake & Auto Service, we’re a small, family-owned, and operated shop, and the owners are working mechanics. We’ve lived flat-rate frustrations, seized bolts at 4:45 pm, unrealistic book times, and "why is this code back?" comebacks. So we run our shop the way we always wished others were run: with respect for techs, time to fix things right, hourly pay (no flat rate), and pride in every vehicle that leaves our bays. What You’ll Do:
- Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance across most makes & models.
- Brake, steering, and suspension service (we do a lot of brake work—no surprise!).
- Diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting using scan tools, wiring info, and process-driven testing.
- Fluid services, filters, tune-ups, and maintenance schedules.
- Mount/balance tires & perform alignments. (If you don’t align yet, we’ll train.)
- Inspect, document, and communicate needed repairs with photos / digital inspections (we’ll train on our system if new to you).
- Road test & quality-check completed work.

Requirements
- 2 years of experience in automotive repair.
- Proficiency in working with hand tools, power tools, and automotive diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective troubleshooting.
- A valid driver's license is required; ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- PA State inspection and Emissions certifications is preferred
