What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Loan Doc Review Specialist position at CITY BANK and Careers?
The Senior Loan Doc Review Specialist will be responsible for performing a pre-closing review of loans above the 1MM threshold. This review will consist of verifying documents for accuracy as well as making sure documents match the approved terms and conditions directed in the approved loan memo. Will review of all types of loan documents to ensure proper lien perfection is compliant with regulatory requirements and internal loan policy requirements. Responsible for entering loan collateral on bank’s tracking system.
Essential Duties
1. Understanding the bank’s lending policies, procedures and regulations and performing duties in such a way as to maintain compliance with stated standards.
2. Performing a pre-closing review of loans above the 1MM threshold to:
- Verify loan documents for accuracy
- Verify documents match the approved terms and conditions reflected in the loan memo
- Verify appropriate due diligence documentation has been completed/received
3. Identifying missing/incorrect documentation in loan files and seek solutions to problems.
4. Notifying loan officers of potential problems and making recommendations to resolve problems or conflicts with a loan, collateral or documentation
5. Representing the Loan Operations department in meetings and projects related to the pre-closing review of loans.
6. Reviewing loan documents to ensure proper preparation, lien perfection is compliant with regulatory requirements, and internal loan policy requirements.
7. Entering loan collateral information on bank’s tracking system for expiration dates and exceptions.
8. Indexing all loan related documents.
9. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required.
10. Maintaining work area in a clean, neat and professional mann.er
11. Representing the bank in a professional manner.
12. Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
13. Participating in training sessions as required by supervisor.
14. Assist with Loan and CIF level Exceptions.
