Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with specialization in public or business administration, psychology or a related field.

Two years of progressively responsible professional experience in personnel management, one of which must have been in labor relations.
License Requirement
Possession of a valid driver's license (automobile/Type 3), prior to appointment.

What You Will Do
- Manage grievance processes across all collective bargaining agreements and Civil Service procedures, including planning, coordination, and oversight.
- Represent the department in hearings before labor boards, commissions, and quasi-judicial bodies on grievance and contract issues.
- Lead grievance resolution efforts, including research, contract interpretation, and handling cases through Step III and arbitration.
- Advise and train staff on labor relations, laws, contracts, and union-management practices to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
