Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work a minimum of 3 days per week on-site. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

As part of the DEN Chief of Staff portfolio, the Culture & Strategy Division is responsible for leading DEN’s efforts in the following areas impacting the entire organization, including our stakeholders: (1) Strategy & Innovation; (2) Airport Access & Business Opportunity; and (3) Strategic Outreach & Engagement. The Strategic Outreach and Engagement Admin II supports Denver International Airport’s outreach efforts by coordinating programs, events, communications, and data tracking that connect internal teams and external partners to opportunities across the airport.

- Plan, support, and at times lead DEN events and programs — both in-person and virtual — including registration setup, pre-event logistics, onsite coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Gather, organize, and update event data and outgoing communications, ensuring dashboards, calendars, and digital platforms are accurate and current.
- Manage the master calendar of DEN and external events, proactively flagging potential conflicts and helping the team stay coordinated and on track.
- Create, edit, and publish content — including newsletters, flyers, presentations, website updates, and social media posts — to support SOE programs and initiatives.
- Review internal and external communications to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with DEN’s brand and messaging.
- Represent DEN at community and stakeholder events as a team representative, exhibitor, or speaker, including occasional evening or weekend commitments.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners (e.g., business organizations, educators, disability advocates) to support outreach efforts and program development.
- Support management of the Community Panelist Program, including outreach, communication, data collection and scheduling.
- Coordinate swag orders for the team, ensuring items meet DEN brand standards and are planned in advance for upcoming events.

- Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing best practices with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).
- Adaptable and flexible, able to pivot quickly and thrive in fast-paced or evolving projects.
- Collaborative team player with proven ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse audiences, including small businesses, educators, advocacy groups, and internal departments.
- Experience planning and delivering events, workshops, or programs, including presenting to audiences in person and virtually.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Cultural competency and a passion for inclusive, equitable community engagement.
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position(s).
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years’ experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area. (This does not include clerical experience.)
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
