General Statement of Duties / Distinguishing Features of the Class
We are hiring short-term, seasonal employees to provide customer service and assist in preparing for day-to-day operations at the Highland View Golf Course. This position is responsible for basic accounting of money and inventory and basic knowledge of serving food and beverages. This position is also responsible for maintenance and cleaning the facility. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, the ability to quickly learn how to operate a point-of-sale system and remain calm in busy situations is a must. This position requires a professional appearance, basic computer skills and the understanding of the game of Golf.
Must be 18 years of age or over.

- Performs all duties and work assignments in a safe, healthy and environmentally sound manner. Specifically, complying with the Health and Safety Program; maintaining work areas in a safe and orderly manner; identifying and reporting unsafe conditions; reporting all accidents; wearing required personal protective equipment and attending safety-related training sessions.
- Performs all duties and work assignments in compliance with project quality requirements.
- Acts responsibly and ethically, and in conformance with generally accepted business, occupational and professional standards.
- Performs related work as required.
- Follows all rules and regulations of Butte–Silver Bow.
- Maintains a positive attitude when dealing with supervisors, other employees and members of the public at all times.
Required Experience, Training, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Good knowledge of office and telephone etiquette;
- Good math skills, including proration with the ability to make proper calculations quickly and with little or no supervision;
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures;
- Ability to independently solve problems within assigned areas of responsibility;
- Ingenuity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks.
- Tact, patience, and courtesy.
Required Special Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or over.
Must possess a current Montana Driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one within a reasonable period of time after employment.
Must be a resident of Butte-Silver Bow during employment according to Butte-Silver Bow Ordinance. See below.
“2.08.010 Residence during employment. From and after October 1, 1979, all employees of the local government of Butte-Silver Bow shall be bona fide residents within the boundaries of Butte-Silver Bow during the period of their employment by the government of Butte-Silver Bow. (Ord. 85 § 1, 1979)”
