Our client is a dedicated Home Health Care provider committed to improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. They provide essential in-home and community-based support to help individuals achieve independence and stay connected to their communities.
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will act as a mentor and companion. Your mission is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities by teaching them the skills they need to lead self-directed lives. This role is ideal for those who are patient, reliable, and passionate about one-on-one personal support.
- Life Skills Coaching: Assist and teach individuals essential daily activities, including cooking, cleaning, and household organization.
- Personal Care & Support: Provide hands-on assistance and companionship within the home environment to ensure the comfort and dignity of those served.
- Community Integration: Accompany and transport individuals to social activities, grocery shopping, and community events.
- Goal Support: Help individuals identify and achieve personal milestones that enhance their quality of life.
- Safety & Advocacy: Ensure a safe living environment and advocate for the preferences and needs of the individual.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 0–2 years; entry-level candidates with a heart for service are encouraged to apply.
- Transportation: Must have a valid Driver’s License, active car insurance, and reliable personal transportation to transport individuals.
- Core Skills: Exceptional patience and empathy, Strong punctuality and reliability, Excellent communication skills.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a mandatory comprehensive background check and eligibility to work in the US.
- Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate (Non-Exempt).
- Time Off: Paid Time Off (PTO) included.
