Job Summary
The Activity Manager plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that cater to their interests and needs. This position requires a compassionate individual who can effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff while ensuring that all activities promote social interaction and mental stimulation. The Activity Manager will focus on creating a supportive environment that encourages participation in recreational therapy and daily living activities. The Activity Manager will also manage the facility’s social media accounts and make daily posts and promote the facility on facility’s social media accounts.
Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program tailored to the needs of residents, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Create a monthly activity calendar depicting and detailing the activities for each day.
- Email each monthly activity calendar to cooperate office.
- Plan and coordinate events that foster community engagement, ensuring a variety of activities are available for different interests.
- Manage schedules for daily activities, ensuring proper staffing and resources are available for each event.
- Communicate effectively with residents to understand their preferences and encourage participation in planned activities.
-Manage Citrus Gardens' social media such as Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok and post daily on social media
-Promote facility on social media through daily posts
- Collaborate with caregiving staff to integrate activities with residents' daily living routines (ADLs) to enhance overall care.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continuously improve the activity program.
- Provide training and support to staff involved in facilitating activities, promoting best practices in recreational therapy.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or working within a nursing home or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care principles and techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in event planning and schedule management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with residents and families.

- A background in recreational therapy or related fields is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
