Position Overview:
Citrus Dialysis Center seeks a Certified Hemodialysis Technician to join our compassionate and professional care team. As a key part of our patient care operations, you'll assist in providing life-saving dialysis treatments while ensuring comfort and safety under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare dialyzers and dialysis delivery systems; monitor equipment for proper function
- Assist patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments
- Initiate and terminate dialysis procedures according to clinical standards
- Administer Xylocaine, Heparin, and Normal Saline under RN/M.D. supervision
- Draw blood samples and perform clotting time tests as required
- Document patient care and report condition changes to the RN
- Clean and sterilize dialyzers and maintain a clean work environment
- Support patients emotionally, ensuring dignity, comfort, and safety
- Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining the facility
- Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and educational sessions
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current California certification as a Patient Care Technician
- CPR certification (must be current)
- Previous patient care experience preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented, compassionate, and reliable
