Responsibilities
- Starts IV's for Imaging Procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning during imaging procedures to ensure comfort and optimal results.
- Maintain clear communication with caregivers, medical staff, and patients to coordinate appointments and address concerns effectively.
- Follow patient safety protocols and implement patient safety measures during all interactions.
- Utilize basic medical terminology accurately when documenting or communicating with healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate de-escalation techniques when managing distressed or anxious patients to ensure a calm environment.
Experience
- IV placement experience is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail, taking accurate patient history information and communicating with patients effectively is essential.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures is required.
- Strong customer service skills coupled with caregiver communication abilities are necessary for success in this role.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required; additional certifications related to patient safety are a plus.
- Prior exposure to medical terminology will support effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
