EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Supervises, plans, and coordinates work of assigned staff. Reviews and evaluates employee performance and completes performance evaluations. Counsels staff and initiates commendations or disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Drives and/or operates a county vehicle or equipment and must obey all safety policies, and roadway rules and laws.
- Cohesively works with Transit Services Director to plan, implement, direct, evaluate and ensure accountability for all Transit Services staff.
- Coordinates and oversees the daily operations of the division’s bus fleet / drivers and related dispatch staff (PM shift).
- Supervises, plans, and coordinates work of assigned staff daily and adjusts routes/schedules as needed based on driver bid process
- Investigates and analyzes accidents with Driver Trainer to determine cause, reports findings and makes recommendations for corrective action. Responsible for First Report of Injuries reporting for Risk Management.
- Monitors transit software system and troubleshoots problems.
- Maintains vehicle list and associated vehicle data for compliance and reporting.
- Reviews and resolves timely customer issues, complaints, and compliments for further handling.
- Assists Transit Services Director daily with the operations of the division and acts as backup, as needed
- Attends conferences and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) meetings, as needed.
- Attends speaking engagements and special events as needed.
- Performs other duties as required.
