Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS) (RT(R)) Citrus Cardiology Consultants - Leesburg, FL $38 - $44 an hour Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist Location: Leesburg, FL Employer: Citrus Cardiology Consultants Position Summary: Citrus Cardiology Consultants is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our team in Leesburg, FL. The Cath Lab Tech will play a critical role in supporting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring patient safety, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining a high standard of care for patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain the catheterization laboratory, ensuring equipment is functional, sterile, and ready for use. Assist interventional cardiologists with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, and other invasive cardiovascular procedures. Operate radiographic and hemodynamic monitoring equipment to capture imaging and physiological data. Monitor patient vital signs and safety throughout procedures and provide immediate response to emergencies. Administer medications and contrast agents under physician direction, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Accurately document procedural details, patient data, and equipment usage in medical records. Ensure compliance with safety standards, radiation protection practices, and infection control guidelines. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care. Provide on-call coverage for emergency procedures, as scheduled. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Current ARRT (Radiography) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Work Environment & Expectations: Full-time, with rotating on-call responsibilities, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
