Job Summary

The National Assurance Operations Leader is tasked with enhancing and overseeing the operational aspects of the firm's Assurance Practice. This individual will collaborate closely with the firm's regional and local assurance practice leaders to improve operational processes, workflows, and tools vital for the effective management of the Assurance Practice. They will work with all offices to ensure consistency and effective monitoring, and will lead every phase of significant projects related to practice management, information technology assurance, and administrative functions. Additionally, this role is responsible for overseeing the due diligence and integration processes associated with the firm's acquisition of assurance practices, which is a key component of our strategy for inorganic growth. This position works in close partnership with the National Assurance Practice Leader to maintain exacting standards of quality, innovation, and methodology throughout the assurance practice.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading Assurance practice project activities from start to support, including discovery and implementation.
• Communicating project statuses, milestones, and critical issues timely, and discussing resolutions with Assurance Leadership.
• Organizing and driving regional and local Assurance practice meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring completion of action items.
• Collaborating with Assurance Leaders and Office Managing Partners at all project stages.
• Enhancing Assurance processes, workflows, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness while minimizing costs.
• Managing integration activities for acquisitions as part of the firm's growth strategy.
• Overseeing administrative operations of the Assurance practice.
• Developing business cases, outlining objectives, costs, ROI, and expected improvements.
• Establishing firmwide monitoring for engagement milestones, compliance, and budgets.
• Writing or updating operational policies and procedures for the Assurance practice.
• Setting up user access controls for applications.
• Working with cross‐functional departments to ensure consistency.
• Consulting with colleagues in India for technology and policy implementations.
• Conducting regular meetings with vendors, overseeing contract renewals, and integrating new acquisitions into vendor agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
• 15  years of prior experience in audit practice of a large national or super‐regional accounting firm
• Comprehensive understanding of operational activities, software, and technology tools of an Assurance practice
• Experience managing operational teams across multiple geographically diverse offices
