Job Summary
The UAT Analyst is responsible for planning, managing, and executing User Acceptance Testing for a commercial online banking platform. This role ensures that new features, enhancements, and integrations meet business requirements, perform reliably in real-world client scenarios, and are ready for production release.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with UAT strategy, test script creation, execution, defect management, and validation, and is comfortable learning complex commercial banking products such as cash management, payments, entitlements, reporting, and integrations. This role partners closely with Product, Technology, Operations, and external vendors to validate functionality, identify risks early, and support high-quality, compliant launches.

Key Responsibilities
UAT Planning & Execution
- Own and execute end-to-end User Acceptance Testing for commercial online banking capabilities.
- Develop and maintain UAT test strategies, test plans, scenarios, and acceptance criteria aligned to real client use cases.
- Create, execute, and document detailed test scripts in JIRA/Confluence covering standard workflows, edge cases, and exception scenarios.
- Validate test results to confirm functionality meets documented business and product requirements prior to production release.
- Perform triage, troubleshooting and analysis of issues and failures reported by team members to determine if the issue is a defect, enhancement, or user-error
- Learn new products and platform capabilities quickly to design effective, reusable UAT test cases.
- Create new test cases for evolving functionality, regulatory requirements, and client needs.
- Ensure test coverage across entitlements, payments, reporting, data accuracy, and role-based access.
- Maintain test artifacts to support repeatable testing across releases.
- Identify, document, track, and prioritize defects using standard defect management tools.
- Partner with Technology, Product, and vendors to ensure timely defect resolution.
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing.
- Provide clear UAT sign-off or release readiness recommendations.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, Operations, and vendors.
- Participate in sprint reviews, release readiness discussions, and go-live planning.
- Support pilot programs, go-live validation, and post-launch hypercare.
- Maintain clear documentation of test cases, results, and defects.
- Contribute to improvements in UAT processes and testing standards.
- Ensure UAT aligns with quality, risk, and governance expectations.
- Produce code and defect reports on UAT findings
- Raise and escalate code concerns and track trends in defects and code quality
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with commercial banking, treasury, payments, or cash management platforms.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- 3 years of experience in UAT or QA for digital platforms.
- Hands-on experience creating and executing UAT scripts and managing defects.
- Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience testing vendor-hosted or third-party solutions.
- Exposure to regulated financial services environments.
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
