Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer – Tier 1
Role Overview
As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer – Tier 1, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure that enables the organization’s day‑to‑day business operations. Working alongside a team of skilled network and infrastructure engineers, you will monitor systems, respond to alerts and incidents, execute standard changes, and ensure network stability and availability.
In this role, you will leverage your foundational networking knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and customer‑focused mindset to help maintain a reliable, secure, and high‑performing network environment. Key Responsibilities
The salary range for this position is $ 37.5 - $ 45.67 per hour . Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise network infrastructure and proactively identify, investigate, and resolve alerts, incidents, and service interruptions.
- Provide Tier 1 technical support for network‑related issues, following established procedures and escalation paths.
- Accurately document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Tier 2 (Senior NOC Engineers) with clear, detailed handoffs.
- Collaborate with network engineering, IT operations, and other support teams to implement approved standard changes and service requests.
- Engage second‑line support teams, field services, and third‑party vendors as required to restore services in a timely manner.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer experience, service reliability, and operational excellence.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and customers.
- 2 years of experience in a Network Operations Center or similar network support role.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident/request workflows.
- Working knowledge of network routing, switching, and wireless technologies, preferably with vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, or Arista.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow established procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer‑service mindset.
- Demonstrated desire to learn, grow technical skills, and advance within network operations.
- Experience with network monitoring or supplemental tools such as Algosec, Splunk, or Panorama.
- Familiarity with network security technologies, preferably Palo Alto, Firepower, or Netskope.
- Exposure to vendor circuit triage and telecommunications troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of additional network disciplines such as Load Balancers, Proxies, or VPN technologies.
- Industry certifications are a plus, including CCNA, CompTIA Network , or PCSNA.
- Hands‑on exposure to enterprise‑scale network environments.
- Clear escalation paths and opportunities to learn from senior engineers.
- Strong foundation for career progression into Tier 2, engineering, or security roles.
- Collaborative team culture focused on learning, growth, and operational excellence.
