You will serve as an Analyst with responsibilities for accurately evaluating customer information and taking appropriate action to protect the company against the risk of economic sanctions violations in accordance with regulatory procedure and policy in consultation with supervisory staff. The Sanctions Analyst is primarily responsible for fulfilling Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements through enhanced evaluation, identification, and research of transactions and relationships of both new and existing customers.

Primary Responsibilities Include
- Analyzing, researching and decisioning alerts related to potential violations of OFAC laws
- Providing feedback in the development of strategies to alleviate operational issues and ensuring compliance within the area of responsibility; making recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures
- Reporting and submitting necessary documentation
- Interfacing with internal clients, Compliance, business, Client Services, Cash Operations, Securities Operations as required
- Understanding and following operational controls to minimize errors
- Banking experience
- Critical thinking, analytical and research skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication and business writing skills
- Aptitude to develop banking and system knowledge
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files, including large and complex files or systems
- Understanding of OFAC, traditional banking regulations and banking functions as well as world events
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: M-F 10:00am - 6:30pm; flexibility to occasionally start early/work later
