What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Service Representative position at Citizens Savings & Loan?
Process, evaluate, authorize, or recommend for approval of consumer credit loans. Various duties relating to the servicing of consumer credit loans including collections.
Primary Responsibilities
· Evaluating credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
· Interviewing applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting credit
· Assess customer needs, explore all options for different types of loans
· Determining all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans
· Complete loan contracts while counseling clients on policies and restrictions
· Maintain and update customer account records
· Develop referral networks with retailers such as automobile dealers
· Performing various marketing activities for business development
· Daily keeping track of and working assigned accounts with past due status
· Locating and contacting loan customers to inquire of their payment status
Skills & Requirements
· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
· Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
· Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
· Familiar with basic Microsoft applications and general computer skills
· Attention to detail
· High school diploma or equivalent required
