Behavioral Intervention Specialist-Citizens 35hrs flex Plainview Helen Kaplan program location
Citizens offers a variety of residential supports based upon the level of support and supervision required by each person to include Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA’s) and Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s).
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology
- At least 1 year of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Modifies individual's behaviors through cognitive and behavioral programming techniques to ensure a productive lifestyle. Serves as a clinical team member by preparing and participating in inter-disciplinary team meetings to exchange recommendations for improving individual's quality of life.
