This role is highly relational, field‑based, and outcomes‑driven, with clear enrollment and engagement targets.

About Citizens of the World

Citizens of the World Charter Schools exist to realize human potential by strengthening the bonds among us and developing true citizens of the world, guided by the core values of Excellence, Authenticity, Diversity, Community, and Change. CANDIDATE PROFILE

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

Before-Launch (Pre-Opening Phase) (Summer 2026 - July 2027)

Goal: Build visibility, trust, and a robust pipeline of diverse, mission-aligned families.

Community Outreach and Recruitment

  • Help to conduct neighborhood scans and data pulls to identify core target zip codes (89121, 89122) and key feeder sites (preschools, churches, community centers, apartment complexes).

  • Build and maintain a partner database; schedule recurring touchpoints with community leaders and program directors.

  • Execute a detailed outreach calendar that includes tabling, participation in community events, and team-based canvassing, with a focus on relationship-driven recruitment.

  • Organize flagship launch events (interest meetings, family coffees, open houses) to communicate the school model and values.

  • Develop the SPCSA‑reportable recruitment plan with a 500‑application goal; design compliant lottery processes and filming protocols.

  • Track leads, conversions, and attendance patterns weekly; adapt messaging and tactics based on data.

Family Engagement and Communication

  • Establish a communication cadence (email, text, call, and in-person) for prospects and applicants.

  • Support families through the application, documentation, and enrollment confirmation stages.

  • Create an early-adopter parent cohort to serve as “founding family ambassadors” and spread word-of-mouth awareness. Social Media, Marketing, and Storytelling

  • Help to develop the CWC Las Vegas style and messaging guide, ensuring alignment with the network’s identity.

  • Manage social media channels; schedule regular stories, posts, and event spotlights.

  • Produce clear, bilingual marketing materials (flyers, digital one-pagers, videos) that explain CWC’s model in plain, community-friendly language.

Collaboration, Results, and Problem-Solving

  • Partner weekly with the Executive Director and operations team to monitor recruitment metrics against monthly goals.

  • Implement a data tracker for applications, conversions, and attrition.

  • Identify barriers to enrollment completion (documentation, access, language) and propose interventions.

After-Launch (Post-Opening Phase)

Goal: Deepen relationships, sustain enrollment momentum, and build word-of-mouth

advocacy.

Community Outreach and Recruitment

  • Continue attending community events, fairs, and back-to-school nights to maintain visibility.

  • Cultivate partnerships that connect families to wraparound supports (tutoring, child care, social services).

  • Develop mid-year and Year 2 recruitment cycles to backfill and expand. Family Engagement and Communication

  • Serve as the consistent external voice for families—ensuring proactive, transparent communication on school logistics, culture-building, and community updates.

  • Host ongoing family engagement events (coffees, class showcases, cultural nights) to build belonging and retention.

  • Maintain smooth enrollment and re-enrollment processes; support families transitioning between grades or adding siblings.

Social Media, Marketing, and Storytelling

  • Shift from “what we’re building” to “what we’re doing”, highlight student work, staff spotlights, and family stories.

  • Manage school social channels with consistent posting and engagement responses.

  • Collaborate with CWC network communications for aligned branding and campaigns.

Collaboration, Results, and Problem-Solving

  • Meet weekly with school leadership to review enrollment numbers and retention data.

  • Collect and act on family feedback through surveys or focus groups.

  • Identify emerging community partnership needs and recommend adjustments to maintain mission fit and diversity.

Ethics and integrity

  • Make well‑informed, ethical decisions that reflect the mission and values of CWC.

  • Act with integrity in all interactions; model professional behavior and ethical standards with students, families, colleagues, and community members.

  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures and support leadership in reinforcing expectations with staff.
