Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation (CMH) is recruiting a Nutritional Service Worker to care for our residents at Community Springs Healthcare Facility. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!
About the area: El Dorado Springs is a progressive, full-service city in Southwest Missouri, known for its rich history and family-friendly atmosphere. It's the largest city in Cedar County and was incorporated in 1881, centered around a spring believed to have healing properties. The city's location between Kansas City, Springfield, and Joplin provides easy access to various amenities, including the Wayside Inn Museum, the Opera House Cinema, and El Dorado Springs City Park.
About the facility: Community Springs Healthcare Facility (CSHCF) is a 105-bed long-term care skilled nursing facility providing transitional or long-term care. A 15-bed high-functioning memory care unit provides specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's or other memory issues.
A typical day includes: Keeping work space clean and clutter free, effective use of the dishwasher, communication skills with the residents, effective communication with meal service, assisting with prep of salad bar and desserts. Serving the residents at meal times. Stocking food shipments as they arrive at the facility. Practicing proper sanitation skills.
As a Cook you would practice communication with coworkers and other departments/ residents family members. You will follow the menus and recipes, practice appropriate food temps, work with two nutritional service aides, and keep work area clean and clutter free, and practicing proper sanitation skills.
- Updating the menu board in break room and dining room
- Preparing and passing drinks and meals in dining room.
- Greeting and serving customers in a positive manner
- Restocking the kitchen, dining room, pantry, and break room
Job Requirements:
- Education: NA
- Experience: Preferred, will train
- Skills: Communication
- Licensure/Certification: Family and Friends CPR within 6 months of employment
- Cook Position Requirement: Food Handlers License, will assist in obtaining
- Physical: Ability to stand for 90% of the day and sit for the remaining 10%
The position is Per Requested Need, Evenings 3:30pm-7:30pm
