Lab Assistant - OBGYN Clinic

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Laboratory Assistant for our OBGYN Clinic in Bolivar, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

A typical day will include: Collecting and processing blood samples for the laboratory, acting as department receptionist, and filing and maintaining records.

• Collects specimens utilizing correct equipment and within specified timeframes
• Logs, prepares, and sends specimens to reference laboratory
• Calls, faxes, and/or sends test results to physicians
• Greets and directs incoming patients to appropriate areas; answers incoming calls and forwards to appropriate personnel
• Cleans equipment and work area, and stocks supplies as needed

Job Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program preferred
• Experience: One or more years of experience performing phlebotomy duties preferred
• Skills: Organization, customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Licensure/Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred

The position is: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm
