What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLERK-CMH Ind Oncology Clinic position at Citizens Memorial?
Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a front office clerk to help care for our patients primarily in the Oncology Clinic and throughout our specialty clinics! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

A typical day will include: The clerk is an integral piece of the healthcare team, working closely with the physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and registered medical assistants (RMA).
- Responsible for answering the telephone and routing to appropriate people.
- Scheduling office visits, clinic procedures, updating consents, patient insurance and demographic information.
- Collecting clinic copays, obtaining medical records, and assisting with coordination of referrals.
- Responsible for obtaining prior authorizations from the Veterans Administration for procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: 1 year of customer service in Healthcare or clerical
- Skills: organization, able to work in fast-paced environment, multitasking
- Licensure/Certification: N/A
- Physical: ability to work at a computer 90% of day and stand for the remaining 10%
The position is: Full Time, Days 8:00a.m-4:30p.m
