Job Description:Citizens, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance for computer hardware, software, and network systems. You’ll be part of our Help Desk team, ensuring smooth operations for internal users through troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration of company laptops and related systems. Support will be provided both in person and remotely via phone, video conferencing, and remote tools. A ticketing system is used to track and manage tasks. Occasional travel to satellite offices (within 250 miles) is required for equipment and networking issues, as well as office relocations. Training and professional growth opportunities are available. Citizens, Inc.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the first point of contact for internal technical support requests.Manage and resolve help desk tickets using the company’s ticketing system.Perform troubleshooting remotely and on-site for hardware, software, and network issues.Travel to satellite offices for equipment setup, networking fixes, and office relocations.Maintain clear communication and timely follow-up with users.Create and update technical documentation and user guides.Diagnose and resolve hardware and cabling issues.Build strong customer relationships through professionalism and quality service.Ensure confidentiality of all user and company information.Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience; up to 2 years substitution allowed).Experience troubleshooting Windows laptops.Working knowledge of Microsoft O365 applications.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:CompTIA A Certification.Google IT Support Professional Certificate.Microsoft IT Support Specialist Professional Certificate.Skills & Abilities:Basic office network setup (Ethernet cabling, wall plates, keystone jacks, cable termination).Ability to research IT issues and recommend solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to explain technical concepts in a user-friendly manner.Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Familiarity with SaaS applications is a plus.Travel Requirements:Occasional travel to remote company sites for troubleshooting and repairs.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.Mileage, meal, and lodging reimbursement per company policy.Travel may include evenings or weekends for critical issues.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:Office-based role with regulated heating and cooling; low noise level.Ability to stand, walk, sit for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent bending, reaching, and use of office equipment.
