Summary
The Loan Administrative Assistant supports assigned loan officers in all activities related to the preparation, disbursement and closing of new loan requests, and assists in the management of the lender’s portfolio by fielding customer calls, assisting in scheduling, preparing reports and documentation, etc. Loan Administrative Assistants may also support the operations of the branch as needed by assisting in opening/closing procedures, and assisting in opening new accounts, particularly for loan customers. Represents the bank in attending civic and community functions. Supports bank event activities including working events on evenings and weekends. Available to work Monday through Saturday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
· Provide proactive support to lenders and branch staff.
· Assist loan officers in preparing preliminary loan packages for processing by obtaining documentation and other information from customers.
· Prepares early disclosures when necessary.
· Assists in coordinating closings by requesting necessary documents such as title work, insurance on collateral, auto appraisals, scheduling with all applicable parties, etc.
· Assists loan officers in communication and administrative tasks such as faxing, emailing, fielding phone calls, etc.
· Troubleshoot and resolve customer loan issues.
· Assists loan officer in reviewing closed loan files for completeness and accuracy before submitting to the Loan Documentation Center for upline loading/scanning.
· Performs post-closing loan coordination such as paying invoices, filing security documents, etc.
· May assist loan officers in the management and collection of past due loans.
· Opens new accounts for new and existing loan customers.
· May support the operations of the branch as needed by assisting in opening/closing procedures, and in opening new accounts for deposit customers if necessary.
· Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
· Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to change and deadlines.
· Exhibit a professional, business-like appearance and demeanor.
· Other duties as assigned.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Knowledge typically gained through a minimum of twelve months experience providing customer service in a financial institution or other professional office or organization.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Sitting/Mobility: Approximately 90% of time is spent working at desk. Balance of time (approximately 10%) is spent moving around work areas.
· Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, clients and outside agencies in writing, in person and over the phone.
· Vision: Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos, and other appropriate paperwork.
· Lifting/Carrying: Ability to transport files and supplies (up to 25 pounds)
· Stooping/Kneeling: Ability to access files and stock supplies
· Reaching/Handling: Ability to input information into computer system and retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment and supplies.
