What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Content Producer position at Citizens for Free Enterprise?
The Digital Content Producer is a member of the CFFE Communications Team who supports the Communications Director and Creative Director. This person’s primary responsibility is developing content for CFFE’s video and social media channels.
Duties include:
- Work with the Communications Director and Creative Director to implement CFFE’s communications strategy for video content.
- Draft and implement approved content calendars for video and digital communications.
- Work with the Creative Director to develop and produce new video series on a regular release schedule.
- Screen and schedule subjects for video shoots in coordination other members of the organization’s team.
- Monitor social media and online video trends and make recommendations to the communications team to improve content performance.
- Draft scripts and coordinate video shoots in conjunction with the Creative Director.
- Draft social media graphics and posts and coordinate content distribution in conjunction with the communications team.
- Other activities as assigned by the Communications Director.
The requirements for the position are:
- Work from the organization’s Omaha office. This position is in person.
- Working knowledge of professional video production, editing, and graphic design tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
- Hands-on experience operating professional cameras (Sony preferred), lighting, and audio recording.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience shooting video on location, as well as pre-production planning and post-production editing.
- Demonstrated experience producing video content (from concept to final edit) and designing basic social media graphics.
- Travel in state and out of state from time to time as assigned.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to relevant policies, procedures, legal requirements, and other regulations.
These skills are preferred, but not required:
- Experience in the working for a non-profit, government office, or political committee.
- Familiarity with government, public policy, and related dynamics in the state.
- Experience optimizing social media performance.
- Working understanding of Microsoft 365, Copilot, Zoom, and other common office software and tech platforms.
