What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Practice Based Coach position at Citizens for Citizens Head Start?
Early Childhood Practice Based Coach Birth to 5
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct pre-assessments to identify team member’s strengths and challenges
- Obtain and analyze data to determine needs and progress
- Create action plans and conduct observations with the coachee
- Model and demonstrate appropriate early childhood strategies
- Ability to facilitate large group training/professional development for team members
- Must be or become CLASS certified and maintain certifications as necessary
- Ensure compliance with Early Head Start & Head Start Performance Standard and with Early Education & Care Regulations
- Highly organized and ability to demonstrate a professional attitude along with a commitment to the Head Start & Early Head Start mission
- Must be able to run a classroom if absolutely necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education
- Experience working with the birth to five population
- Strong Behavior Management background preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, maximum 35 Hours per week, Minimum 43 weeks per year
Pay rate:
- $31 an hour

Physical requirements:
- Employees will be required to perform physical duties such as stand, walk or sit for lengthy periods and reach with arms and stoop.
- The employee may be required to physically lift up to 50 pounds for files, computer printouts, etc.
- Must have a physical every two years. A physician’s certificate is required.
- New employees must have proof of TB test within the prior year.
