Human Resources Intern

Overview

We have an opportunity for a Human Resource ITD Intern to join our team!

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Human Resources functions, with a keen interest in analytics, technology and continuous learning. Alongside administrative tasks, the intern will gain exposure to HR laws and regulations, workplace trends, and various HR systems, processes, and resources. The intern will support the core responsibilities of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Talent Management Department, aligning with the department's mission to foster an inclusive, continuous learning culture that encourages individual growth, provides quality training, and develops competencies that expand employee abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports departmental internal and external web pages and updates content for diversity, inclusion and learning and development resources.Â
• Attends departmental and cross-functional team meetings, prepares meeting agendas and distributes pre-work and after-action evaluations to learn the HR profession.
• Organizes, orders and prepares material for various projects, meetings and training events.
• Create presentations and report work progress at department meetings.
• Job shadows departments of interest and participates in company events, volunteer opportunities and facility tours to gain industry knowledge.
  
  

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university with a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher
• Demonstrates strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
• The ability to work independently and with all levels of management and adapt to leadership changes
• The ability to maintain timely projects, schedules and tasks
• Interpersonal skills with good communication (written and oral)
• Strong customer service skills
  
  

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• College level work study experience is helpful
• Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
• Proficiency in social media presence
