Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center is hiring a Full-Time Nursing Administrative Assistant who will assist with administrative duties in the nursing office including payroll admin. Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Overview
This position is responsible for coordinating the payroll process for the Nursing Department. Assists Nursing Office Support Staff in other administrative duties
Responsibilities
· Performs and/or reviews time and attendance functions for the Nursing Department
· Troubleshoots problems with time and attendance software
· Performs audits and reviews reports to identify discrepancies and makes necessary changes
· Manages documentation in support of benefit time
· Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy
· Assists Director of Nursing in identifying attendance trends and/or employees in need of discipline
· Understands facility pay practices and ensures appropriate utilization
· Communicates with Human Resources to ensure the integrity of the employee and/or payroll data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and status changes
· Responsible for supporting Nursing Scheduling Coordinator
· Reviews daily staffing sheets to ensure adequate coverage
· Manages daily staff issues as they arise in conjunction with the Nursing Scheduling Coordinator
· Serves as liaison with nursing staff with respect to work schedules and payroll
· Responsible for filing, organizing and processing medical records through the Nursing Office
· Coordinates with Unit Secretaries to oversee consultant physician rounds and documentation
· Manages and documents attending physician visits
· Performs various administrative duties as needed
· Adheres to infection control practices
· Attends In-Service training to maintain and improve competencies
· Other duties as assigned
Experience
High School Diploma and at least one year experience processing healthcare payroll or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Possesses good working knowledge of computer systems
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, push, pull, balance, reach, grasp, kneel, climb and lift up to 10 pounds.

Pay: $16.19 - $22.10 per hour
