Bank Teller

Job Summary
NOTE: THIS POSITION IS AVAILABLE FOR IN-PERRSON WORK ONLY. CASH HANDLING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ANY PERSON HIRED IN THIS POSITION.

Cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals including cash and checks.

Duties

• Perform accurate cash handling, including processing deposits, withdrawals, and payments while maintaining precise cash management and cashiering records
• Conduct basic math calculations for debits & credits, balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift
• Assist customers with everyday banking needs such as account inquiries, check cashing, and issuing cashier’s checks
• Identify potential fraud or suspicious activity through fraud prevention and detection techniques to protect both the bank and its clients
• Cultivate strong customer relationships through effective relationship management and personalized service to enhance customer loyalty

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations
• Strong proficiency in retail math, basic math skills, and familiarity with financial software systems
• Knowledge of banking operations, cash handling procedures, debits & credits, and cash management practices
• Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
• Awareness of fraud prevention methods and security protocols within a banking environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
