SCOPE:
The Credit Underwriting Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the commercial loan underwriting and portfolio management functions through the management, monitoring, and tracking of borrower financial information, loan covenant compliance, annual loan reviews, and other credit risk management activities. The position serves as a liaison between the Bank and its outsourced credit analysis provider to help ensure financial information is obtained, submitted, processed, and maintained in a timely manner.
The Credit Underwriting Coordinator is responsible for monitoring borrower reporting requirements, tracking covenant compliance, annual review due dates, commercial line of credit resting requirements, and other portfolio oversight activities. The position assists commercial loan officers and credit administration personnel by maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and helping ensure that credit-related information is received and reviewed in accordance with Bank policy and established deadlines.
The position supports the underwriting and portfolio management process through effective administrative oversight, vendor coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Banking, lending, loan operations, credit administration, or administrative experience preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational, recordkeeping, and follow-up skills required.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with internal staff and third-party vendors.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Team player and self-starter.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills as well as utilization of office equipment.
