Citizens Bank of Kansas, a fourth-generation family-owned community bank has a career opportunity for a Credit Analyst. This team-oriented leader will play an important role in the continued growth of our lending team and the overall profitability of our bank.
We are seeking friendly, organized, self-motivated candidates with:
- One to three years of experience as a credit analyst
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in finance, accounting, agribusiness, or other related fields of study
- Possess a working knowledge of a variety of small business and commercial loans along with some exposure to agricultural loan structures
- Demonstrated analytical and statistical skills to evaluate, prioritize and categorize data in various formats for reports
- Skills in credit and cash flow analysis (including global cash flows), balance sheet analysis, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency – Ideal candidate would have experience with all Microsoft products, especially Word and Excel, Zoom and Teams for attending/scheduling meetings, and PDF editing. Experience with loan analysis software is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
- Will underwrite larger consumer mortgage/construction requests in addition to ag/commercial
- Providing recommendations and feedback to lenders and to loan committee(s) based on information and experience/knowledge base
- Recommending, when necessary, basic lending structure and covenants to develop and sustain more advanced/complicated customer relationships
- Working closely with a team of Loan Officers to ensure the accuracy and relevance of written summaries and credit requests
- Checking for compliance on loan agreements and perform collateral reviews
- Performing various other duties and projects assigned by Senior and Executive Management
- Providing basic leadership among co-workers, in coordination with the Credit Manager
