We are seeking an early-career professional who is interested in building a long-term career in banking and lending, with a focus on agriculture and small business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learning how businesses operate financially, and becoming a trusted resource within the community.
You’ll work closely with experienced lenders and our management team, gaining hands-on experience while developing core banking and credit skills through internal training and professional education. We provide strong support, mentorship, and opportunities to build both local and professional networks.
Starting salary: $50,000–$80,000 , depending on education, experience, and qualifications.
Benefits include: a comprehensive package featuring a 100% employer-funded retirement plan equal to 15% of base salary.
What You’ll Do

Learn to manage and grow a primarily agricultural and small business loan portfolio, including:
- Assisting with loan applications and documentation
- Supporting loan origination activities
- Performing financial and credit analysis with guidance and mentoring
- Participating in onsite inspections and loan monitoring
- Assisting with collection efforts as needed
- Build relationships with farmers, agricultural businesses, and small business customers

Participate in business development efforts that lead to:
- Growth in agricultural and business lending
- Referrals for residential mortgages, consumer loans, deposit accounts, and wealth management services
- Begin with a limited existing loan portfolio and grow it over time
- Learn bank products and services and refer customers to appropriate internal specialists
- Get involved in community activities and events to build visibility and relationships

- Interest in agriculture, business, finance, or community banking
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze information, learn financial concepts, and communicate clear conclusions
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or willingness to learn; familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications
