JOB TITLE: Grants Coordinator
ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Office of Self-Governance
SUPERVISOR: Director of Self-Governance
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Salary/Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $50,000-$58,000
JOB SUMMARY: The Grants Coordinator will identify and coordinate grant proposal development for a portion of the federal portfolio at CPN, to extend and expand the Nation’s programs and services as prioritized by Administration. The incumbent will write grant proposals and assist with post-award grant management, as well as provide administrative and research support for the Office of Self-Governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
· Prepare all aspects of grant proposals including project narratives, budgets and all associated supporting documentation.
· Provide technical assistance to CPN Directors regarding grant management issues and work to resolve problems encountered.
· Complete electronic preparation and submission of grant applications, progress reports, budget amendments and other forms as required, using online grant management portals.
· Assist with the planning of the anticipated grants through scoping for grant opportunities.
· Responsible for keeping abreast of all issues affecting grant funding, including but not limited to: 1) federal appropriation processes; 2) applicable federal agency policies and procedures, as well as future development of such policies; and 3) applicable tribal and federal law and regulations governing administration and implementation of federal and state programs and services operated by the Nation.
· Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with representatives of federal agencies as well as representatives of other tribes in furtherance of the Nation’s goals.
· Completion of any other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated technical writing abilities and research skills. Superior computer literacy required, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Software. Must be able to prepare annual and multi-year budgets and budget justifications for grant applications.
Experience with federal budgetary processes, tribal budgets, and accounting procedures preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Location-- Citizen Potawatomi Nation Tribal Headquarters.
· Shift-- 8 hrs/5 days
· Status-- Full Time/Permanent
· Travel-- Some travel required.
NEEDED ATTRIBUTES: Ability to work with a diverse group of personnel. Must be willing to adapt to regular and abruptly changing demands. Must possess the ability to function openly, constructively, and effectively in team-oriented assignments.
Salary : $50,000 - $58,000
