Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced EDI Senior Engineer / Architect to design, implement, and optimize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions for complex B2B integrations. The role involves migration projects, map development, partner onboarding, and protocol configuration using platforms like IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture
- Define EDI integration architecture for high-volume, multi-partner environments.
- Design migration strategies from legacy platforms (e.g., TrustedLink) to modern platforms (IBM Sterling).
- Development & Mapping
- Create and maintain EDI maps for X12, EDIFACT, and custom formats.
- Implement business processes in IBM Sterling Integrator (BPML).
- Partner Onboarding
- Configure trading partner profiles and communication channels (AS2, SFTP, HTTP).
- Validate connectivity and ensure compliance with partner specifications.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Perform end-to-end testing of EDI transactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mapping and connectivity issues.
- Performance & Monitoring
- Optimize workflows for high throughput and low latency.
- Implement monitoring dashboards and alerting for SLA compliance.
- Documentation & Governance
- Maintain technical documentation for maps, processes, and partner configurations.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- 10 years in EDI development and integration.
- Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (mandatory).
- Migration experience from legacy EDI platforms (e.g., TrustedLink,).
- Technical Skills:
- Experience in US Healthcare EDI (HIPAA compliance).
- EDI standards: X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA transactions (837, 835, 270/271, etc.).
- Protocols: AS2, SFTP, HTTP, FTP, VAN.
- Strong knowledge of BPML, map development, and scripting (Java/Groovy preferred).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with cloud deployments and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Exposure to API integration and hybrid B2B workflows.
