What is in it for you?
You’ll work hands‑on with modern lakehouse and Snowflake architectures, leading cloud migration and data modernization initiatives end to end. This role offers the perfect blend of strategic data architecture and deep technical ownership, with strong influence across engineering, analytics, and business teams.
Role: Data Architect
Location: Jacksonville, Florida (Remote)
Role Overview
- The Data Architect will design and implement scalable, high performance data architectures supporting cloud migration and analytics initiatives.
- This role bridges enterprise architecture and Handson data engineering leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end data architectures including ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics layers. Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Lead modernization of legacy data platforms to cloud-native lake house architectures.
- Architect Snowflake environments including schemas, warehouses, roles, and security models.
- Define data standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Guide teams on ETL/ELT design, performance optimization, and cost management.
- Support DevOps enablement including CI/CD for data platforms.
- Work closely with product, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 14 years in data architecture and data engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (design, admin, performance tuning).
- Experience with Iceberg / Delta Lake / Hudi lake house formats.
- Excellent SQL and data modelling skills (3NF, star/snowflake schemas).
- Knowledge of streaming and batch processing frameworks.
- Experience with cloud DevOps, automation, and IaC (Terraform, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
