Physical & Fundamentals Analyst
Oil Trading Desk

We are working with a firm who are looking to grow out their Oil Trading desk with strong quant and analyst people with strong physical and oil/energy market experience.
The role is suited to someone with hands-on experience in physical oil or gas markets, ideally from a major trading house, who has a deep understanding of trade flows, exports, balances, and freight economics.
The right person will already be fluent in market structure, logistics, and fundamental drivers, and able to contribute immediately to fundamental analysis, market intelligence, and trade idea development across physical and derivative markets.
Brief Summary:
- Strong quantitative / analytical background combined with real physical oil or gas trading experience
- Deep understanding of trade flows, balances, exports, and freight economics, ideally from a physical shop background
- Highly detailed on fundamentals, news flow, and market structure; able to turn physical dynamics into actionable insights
Strong market instincts, attention to detail, and credibility within the physical oil community are essential.
