About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a candidate who brings strong accounting fundamentals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to take ownership of daily financial operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring timely processing of transactions. Responsibilities
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately and on schedule
- Conduct past-due collections with professionalism and clear communication
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare and submit invoices; monitor outstanding balances
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, document management, and responding to internal and external inquiries
- Update and maintain accounting databases and internal financial systems
- Review internal reports for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies
- Collaborate effectively with management, clients, and vendors
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in AP/AR or bookkeeping
- 2 years of experience with QuickBooks (required)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus)
Experience with additional accounting platforms
Prior month-end closing exposure
Collections experience in a professional services environment
