Armed Security Officer-Vehicle Patrol

POSITION DETAILS

• Job Type: Full-time
• Location: Indio, CA
• Pay Rate: $21.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
• Shift Availability: Day Shift, Swing Shift, and Graveyard Shift
• Work Location: In person

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and the public.
• Conduct vehicle patrols of assigned properties, facilities, and designated areas.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unauthorized activities.
• Monitor, maintain, and inspect assigned facilities and property.
• Enforce site rules and regulations in accordance with company policies and client requirements.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.
• Gather information, document incidents, and complete accurate daily activity reports.
• Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms and other approved security equipment in accordance with applicable laws, permits, training, and company policies.
• Request emergency services when necessary and coordinate with law enforcement or other first responders.
• Maintain professional conduct and communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and the public.
• Perform additional security-related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Valid California Exposed Firearm Permit.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Current DMV driving record required as part of the hiring process.
• Acceptable driving record and ability to operate a patrol vehicle safely.
• Required handcuff certification.
• Required pepper spray certification.
• Required training, permits, and certifications for authorized armed security duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to work Day, Swing, or Graveyard shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication, observation, customer service, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately to security incidents and follow established procedures.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND EQUIPMENT

Applicants must possess the required certifications and permits for the position, including:

• Valid BSIS Guard Card.
• Valid Exposed Firearm Permit.
• Handcuff certification.
• Pepper spray certification.
• Required training and authorization for assigned armed security duties.
• Ability to wear and use an approved security vest and carry authorized duty equipment in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

A baton permit, if applicable to the assigned post, is an additional qualification.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Pay range: $21.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Candidates must be available for one or more of the following shifts:

• Day Shift
• Swing Shift
• Graveyard Shift
