General Overview
CitiChurch offers a Summer Camp for youth - GENERATION NEXT. Generation Next provides art instruction for at-risk and low-income youth in the Allapattah community.
We are looking for a summer camp art teacher who is fun, energetic, experienced, a great leader, creative, punctual, organized, personable, loves to work with youth, and is DRAMA FREE!
Generation Next has a clear mission: Provide at-risk youth with art instruction and the life skills to succeed through teamwork in a fun & engaging environment.
Summer Camp will be held:
- June 8th - June 10th Mandatory Staff Training 9:00 am - 5:00 pm... paid via stipend.
- June 15th - July 24th (Summer Holidays: 6/19/26 and 7/3/26)
- Monday - Thursday for 2-2.5 hours per day, between 9:45 am - 4:15 pm.
- This is a part-time job with approximately 8-10 hours per week.
- POSSIBLE Fridays for Field Trips... this day is paid with an additional stipend, if worked
- The rate of pay is $20 per hour

Position Overview
Leading and teaching art activities and planning. This position requires the teacher to be proficient in art instruction, including administration, organization, leadership, and facilities and material management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work the entire Summer Camp without taking a day off for vacation.
- Create and follow lesson plans for the summer
- Teach all theater classes
- Ensure student safety and supervision of students at all times
- Oversee student sign-in sheets, assist with assessments
- Participate in Staff development, weekly rallies, and evaluations
- Assist to establish and maintain an environment of physical and emotional safety based on respect at all levels
- Maintain materials and ensure it is available and in good working condition
- Assist with retention and engagement
- Keeps track of student’s punctuality and participation in sessions
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferred OR equivalent experience in the field
- experience working with at-risk youth
- excellent organization, leadership, and communication skills
- able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening
- bilingual preferred (English - Spanish)
