Job Summary
CitiKidz is a program of CitiChurch. CitiChurch exists to change Allapattah by providing direct educational & spiritual opportunities, strengthening families and linking residents together in a supportive neighborhood.
THE IDEAL INSTRUCTOR at CitiKidz will enjoy and have a passion for working with children. Instructors must have strong leadership skills and classroom management as well as experience working with school age children, able to implement plans, have a passion for a well managed classroom, enjoy teaching, creative, flexible, team player, aware, punctual, organized, able to lead and give directions. Our instructors must act as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor.
Instructors must have a genuine interest in the growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturing environment for the students they teach. Instructors are required to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience will be required to give our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed. It's also important that the Instructor is able to lead large and small groups with ease.
Our After School Program and Summer Camp runs on 2 tracks: Creative/Performing Arts AND SPORTS!
We are looking for after school instructors who will naturally fit into one of these 2 tracks with the ability to use their gifts and talents.
Daily activities include: Homework help (after school only), snacks, Physical Fitness, Reading, arts & crafts, social skills and other specialized activities.
Requirements:
- At least one year of experience working with elementary-aged students is required.
- Fun, Energetic, Self-Starter
- High School diploma - some College preferred
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with school age children
- SPARK Trained - a PLUS!
- reliable personal transportation
- reliable cell phone
- able to pass a Level 2 background screening
- Bi-Lingual a plus, but not required
- Available for the entire six weeks of summer camp, a plus!
- CPR and First Aid Certified, a plus!
We are in operation:
School Days (2025-2026) Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 6:00pm
Summer Camp (2026) Monday - Friday 8:30am - 6:00pm
Hours:
This is a part time position.
- After School Instructors generally range from 16-20 hours per week. Most School holidays are off.
- Summer Camp Instructors typically work 30 hours/week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
