Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator to join our CTE team. This position plays a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, coordinating internship and job-shadowing opportunities, and ensuring compliance with all New York State Education Department (NYSED) WBL regulations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate a variety of work-based learning experiences for CTE students, including internships, job shadowing, cooperative education, etc.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers, businesses, and community organizations.
• Ensure all WBL activities are aligned with NYSED regulations and guidelines.
• Assist students in developing employability skills and preparing for workplace experiences.
• Collect and maintain accurate records, student documentation, and reports related to WBL.
• Collaborate with CTE teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student placement and success.
• Conduct site visits and evaluations to ensure quality and safety of placements.
• Provide ongoing professional development and training for staff related to WBL.
• Coordinate student events to support WBL - such as: job fairs, mock interviews, jobsite tours, field visits, etc.
• Participate in CTE Advisory committee meetings.
• And other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Salary: Per Oswego County BOCES, Teachers' Association Contract

Reports To: Michael Thurlow, CTE Principal

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Career and Technical Education or a related area
• Valid New York State Teacher Certification Extension - Coordinator of Work-Based Learning.
• Minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a CTE setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of NYSED WBL program requirements, child labor laws, and safety regulations.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with NYSED CDOS Commencement Credential and CTE endorsements.
• Experience using digital platforms for tracking student placements and employer partnerships.
