Schedule: Variable Days | 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM | 36 to 40 Hours

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is hiring a dependable Unarmed Mobile Patrol Officer for overnight coverage throughout the Springfield area. The position requires regular travel between assigned locations, completion of scheduled checks, and careful attention to conditions observed during each stop.

This is a good fit for someone who prefers working independently, can manage several patrol locations during one shift, and remains focused and responsible during overnight hours.

What You Will Do

• Drive established patrol routes and make scheduled stops at assigned locations.
• Perform routine checks of buildings, exterior areas, perimeters, entrances, and access points.
• Look for signs of unauthorized activity, property damage, safety hazards, or other unusual conditions.
• Maintain an active security presence while conducting each patrol.
• Respond to incidents or service concerns according to post orders and company procedures.
• Observe assigned areas for conditions that could compromise safety or security.
• Secure or report access concerns when permitted by assignment instructions.
• Record completed patrols, observations, incidents, and other required activity accurately.
• Notify supervisors or dispatch of significant concerns, emergencies, or changes in conditions.
• Maintain professional communication with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and individuals encountered during patrols.
• Complete all assigned rounds within the required timeframes.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) covering at least the previous 3 years.
• Ability to safely drive for extended periods during overnight hours.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout a full shift.
• Strong observation, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work variable days.
• Comfortable working alone with limited direct supervision.
• Ability to follow written post orders, route instructions, and company procedures.
• Professional communication skills and a responsible approach to assigned duties.
  
  

Preferred Background

• Prior security or mobile patrol experience.
• Experience in a field-based position involving multiple locations.
• Familiarity with electronic patrol logs or incident-reporting systems.
• Previous overnight or late-night work experience.
• Experience identifying and documenting unusual activity, safety concerns, or property issues.
