Security Officer

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer to support security operations at a retail grocery location in Glenwood Springs, CO. This position is centered on maintaining a safe shopping experience for customers, supporting store personnel, and helping reduce loss through active observation and professional engagement.

• Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
• Schedule: Friday to Sunday | 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible presence throughout the store and surrounding property
• Conduct routine walking patrols of sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and designated exterior locations
• Monitor activity to help identify theft, safety concerns, policy violations, or suspicious behavior
• Assist with maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for customers, employees, and vendors
• Observe and document incidents, disturbances, or unusual activity accurately and promptly
• Communicate security concerns to store management and company supervisors
• Support emergency response procedures in accordance with site guidelines
• Provide courteous customer service while enforcing company and client policies
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation as required
• Follow all post orders, operational procedures, and client-specific instructions
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required security licensing for the position
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to remain calm and professional when handling difficult situations
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during assigned shifts
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, retail loss prevention, customer service, or related fields
• Active Unarmed Security Guard Card
• Experience writing reports and documenting incidents
• Familiarity with retail environments and customer-facing responsibilities
