Job Overview
The Director of Credit Administration serves as a strategic and operational leader within the Lending Department, responsible for coordinating efforts across all lending groups to ensure seamless execution of internal, external, and regulatory examinations. This role oversees lending systems administration, vendor relationships, credit policy management, and serves as the primary liaison for board-level and internal reporting. The position also plays a key role in cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and Product teams, manages loan participations, oversees the SBA Loan Servicing Provider (LSP) relationship, supports geographic expansion efforts, and leads lending-related merger activities.
Responsibilities
Regulatory & Exam Coordination
- Lead and coordinate responses to internal audits, external reviews, and regulatory examinations across all lending functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, data gathering, and communication with examiners and auditors.
- Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to maintain readiness and implement corrective actions as needed.
Credit Policy & Procedure Management
- Maintain and update credit policies and lending procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with lending leaders to ensure policies reflect current practices and risk appetite.
- Facilitate training and communication of policy changes across lending teams.
- Monitor adherence to credit policies and escalate exceptions or trends as appropriate.
Lending Systems & Vendor Management
- Assist in the administration and optimization of lending systems and platforms used across the credit union.
- Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to ensure system integrity, performance, and compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract oversight, service level agreements, and issue resolution.
Reporting & Analytics
- Own the development and delivery of lending-related reports for the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze lending performance metrics and trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into loan production, portfolio health, and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a central point of contact between consumer, mortgage, commercial, and indirect lending teams.
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to support lending initiatives, campaigns, and member communications.
- Coordinate product launches, rate changes, and promotional efforts to ensure alignment with lending strategy.
Loan Participations & SBA LSP Oversight
- Manage the credit union’s loan participation program, including onboarding, tracking, and reporting of participated loans.
- Ensure compliance with participation agreements and monitor performance of participated assets.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the SBA Loan Servicing Provider (LSP), overseeing service delivery, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Support SBA lending initiatives and ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Market Expansion & Merger Activity
- Coordinate lending-related efforts in opening new geographic markets in collaboration with channel leaders.
- Support strategic planning, operational readiness, and product alignment for market entry.
- Serve as the point person for lending integration during mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, systems alignment, and policy harmonization.
- Ensure continuity of lending operations and member experience throughout merger transitions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in lending operations, credit union or banking environment.
- Experience with lending systems administration, credit policy management, loan participations, and regulatory exam coordination strongly preferred.

This position will be in an office environment with most work done on a computer.
